Rosanna Fiske

Rosanna Fiske, APR, MS, GSC program director and associate professor, teaches a number of graduate and undergraduate classes as well as oversees the Global Strategic Communications master's program. Named the 2010 PR Professional of the Year by the national Hispanic PR Association, she joined the SJMC faculty in 2006 after a distinguished professional career in the communications industry. Prior to joining the SJMC, Prof. Fiske held senior-level agency positions leading national and international client work spanning four continents for industry leaders such as Charles Schwab & Co., American Airlines, Anheuser-Busch Companies, Wells Fargo Bank and MCI. She has worked directly with Fortune 500 CEOs, senior management teams, and boards of directors in strategic planning, management structuring, crisis and employee communications, multicultural and global initiatives, and strategic and executive communications. Fiske holds a master of science in mass communication and a bachelor of science in journalism.
Prof. Fiske is the Immediate Past Chair and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America, the world’s largest public relations professional organization headquartered in New York City. She is the first Latina to have held that position in the 60-plus-year-old organization. She received the 2002 D. Parke Gibson Pioneer Award – the nation’s highest individual honor in multicultural communications -- as well as two Silver Anvils and a CIPRA for outstanding campaigns in consumer marketing communications. She currently serves on the boards of directors of the National Education Association HIN and the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies.
